故事发生在清朝末年，中文字幕席方平（沙溢 饰）的父亲是清正廉洁的监察御史，中文字幕却遭到了贪官的诬陷而被斩首。这一幕恰巧被嫉恶如仇的女鬼小谢（席与立 饰）瞧见，小谢决定替席方平的父亲伸冤。在席方平为父亲守灵之夜，小谢现身，把自己的计划告诉了席方平。在小谢的带领下，两人来到了阴曹地府，哪知道这里的阎王判官亦是贪官污吏之流，不仅未能还席方平父亲的清白，还让席方平白白遭了不少的罪。意难平的小谢又不顾自己的安危，带着苟活的席方平勇闯天庭，得到了二郎神的帮助，最终使得席方平的父亲沉冤得雪。在此过程中，小谢和席方平之间也生出了一段人鬼之恋。

Beaumont's motives are purely selfish as he makes every attempt to convince the beautiful young girl to run away with him. For help Beaumont turns to the devious Legendre, a man who runs his mill by mind controlling people he has turned into zombies. After Beaumont uses Legendre's zombie potion on Madeleine, he is dissatisfied with her emotionless being and wants her to be changed back.
