影片主要讲述身为北漂一员的婷，影视为坚持自己的梦想努力拼搏，影视从一名前台成长为行政经理的故事。婷在经历瓶颈期时，依靠汽车之家论坛红人馆网友的支持，成功突破瓶颈，遇见不凡自己的成长故事。婷在大学毕业以后拒绝了回家当老师的安排，倔强地来到北京打拼。但历史专业出身的婷，在找工作的过程中不断碰壁，为了生存下去，无奈只能到餐馆当服务员。两年间，婷先后换了8份工作。之后在一家公司做着最平凡，最基层的前台工作，起初每天工作忙碌而充实，婷始终坚信总有一天生活会变好，能将日记本里记录的一条条旅行路线变成脚下的路，一定会亲眼看一遍照片中定格的风景。终于，公司做出人事调整，在全公司内开展行政专员竞聘，一直犹豫要不要参加竞聘的婷，在汽车之家论坛众多车友的鼓励和支持下，向岗位竞聘全力出发，并获得领导同事的认可和支持，获得了转职为行政专员的机会。成功转职的婷认为新的人生就此开始，却没想真正的挑战才刚到来……
